I founded Helpful-Hounds after leaving my career in London’s tech sector to build a more grounded life in the Cotswolds with my partner, James. In 2021, we brought home Louis, our much-loved hound, who inspired my company’s name and remains its long-eared, hairy mascot.
Since leaving The City, I have worked as a self-employed housekeeper across some of the Cotswolds’ most distinguished private estates, including Little Tew Estate, Daylesford, Cornbury Park Estate, Blenheim Palace Estate and Adlestrop House. Working within such exceptional homes shaped the meticulous standards, discretion and respect for property that define my service today.
In 2023 I chose to expand from exclusively servicing large private estates to offering specialist one-off cleans — allowing me to bring the same exacting standards to homeowners, tenants and property professionals throughout the area.
I am proud to work closely with Maxwell Douglas Estate Agents, who have trusted me with their end-of-tenancy and house-sale cleans for the past four years. More recently, I have also undertaken cleans for respected local firms including Chancellors, Taylor Fletcher, and Bradley Saul Solicitors.
